Siding should not be set directly against the roof or trim. Siding should also not sit directly on the ground. If this happens, the siding will capture moisture. Moisture can always cause problems. When moisture becomes trapped behind siding, it can cause rotting and mold issues. Long-term moisture can even cause the siding to break down.

Not Installing Foam Insulation Behind the Siding

Foam insulation behind the siding serves as an additional barrier for your home and also provides resistance from damage. Foam insulation also provides a barrier from noise, aids in minimizing seam issues and contributes to less maintenance.
