Privacy Policy
Updated October 6, 2026: We now describe our Google and Meta advertising tools in more detail, including customer lists we share with Meta in scrambled form and how to opt out. See Sections 5, 6, 6a, and 8.
Plain terms: We collect your information only to price your project, answer your questions, and do the work you hire us for. We do not sell it. We do not share it beyond the tools we use to run our business. That is the whole policy; the rest of this page is the detail.
1. Who we are
Bealing Roofing & Exteriors, LLC (“Bealing,” “we,” “us”) is a roofing and exterior contractor based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, serving homeowners in Pennsylvania and Maryland. This policy covers our website and the ways we communicate with you: forms, calls, texts, and email.
2. What we collect
Plain terms: We collect what you give us, plus basic information about how you use our site.
Information you give us:
- Contact details you enter in our forms: name, email, phone number, and property address.
- Your property address when you use our instant roof estimate tool. The tool uses your address to measure your roof from satellite imagery and show you a price range. You can see your range without giving us any contact information; sharing your contact details afterward is optional.
- Anything you tell us by phone, text, email, or chat.
Information collected automatically:
- Standard website usage data: pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, and general location, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5). When you reach our site by clicking an ad, the link may include an ad click ID, and we collect that too.
- Call data. We use call tracking, which means the phone number you see on our site may be a tracking number that connects to us. Calls may be recorded for quality and training. If you do not want a call recorded, tell us at the start of the call and we will accommodate you.
- How your visit reached us (for example, whether you arrived from a search engine or an ad), used for marketing attribution.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide estimates, schedule inspections, and perform the work you hire us for.
- Respond to your questions and requests.
- Send you communications you have consented to receive (see Section 4).
- Understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
- Measure which of our marketing actually works.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Calls and text messages (TCPA consent)
Plain terms: We only text or call you with marketing if you sent us a form saying we could. You can stop it anytime.
When you submit a form, you agree that Bealing may contact you by phone and text message at the number you provided, including through automated technology, about your inquiry and our services. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop calling by telling us on any call or by contacting us using the details in Section 10.
6a. Customer lists used for advertising
Plain terms: If you asked us for an estimate or hired us, we may use your contact details to control which of our ads you see, and to find new customers like you. You can opt out at any time.
What we share. Email address, phone number, first and last name, city, state, ZIP code, and country. For customers who hired us, we may also share a number that reflects what you spent with us. Before anything leaves our systems, every one of these details except the spending figure is converted into a scrambled code (a one-way “hash”). Meta compares the codes with its own records to find matching accounts. We do not send the readable details.
What we do not share. Your street address, your roof measurements or satellite images, your estimate or contract figures, your project photos, your payment method, your call recordings, or anything you told us about your home.
Why we share it.
- So that people who have already hired us, or who have already asked us for an estimate, are not shown ads meant for new customers.
- So that we can show a follow-up ad to people who met with us about an estimate and have not decided yet.
- So that Meta can show our ads to people whose interests are similar to those of our customers (a “lookalike” audience). Meta does not tell us who those people are.
Who can see it. Meta uses the matched codes only to build the audiences above for our advertising account. We do not give any other business access to these lists.
How long. We refresh these lists from our records from time to time. If you ask us not to use your information this way (see Section 8), we leave you out of the next refresh and ask Meta to remove you from the current lists.
People we leave out. Anyone who has asked us not to contact them, and anyone who tells us they do not want their information used for advertising.
7. How long we keep information
We keep customer and prospect records as long as we have a business need: active projects, warranty obligations that can span decades, and legal requirements. If you ask us to delete your information, we will honor the request except where we are required or permitted to retain it (for example, records of work performed under warranty).
8. Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask what information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Opt out of marketing calls, texts, and emails.
- Ask us not to use your contact details to build advertising audiences, and to be removed from any audience we have built (see Section 6a). Tell us “no advertising audiences” and we will act within 30 days.
Contact us using Section 10 and we will respond within a reasonable time. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights. You can also manage how Google and Meta use information from businesses like ours through the links in Section 5.
9. Children
Our website and services are for homeowners and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
